Blowfly Wines handpick their fruit by night, on the chilly slopes of South Burloo Estate in Coonabarabran. They are unconventional and proud of their history. The Trickey family bought South Burloo in 1997. It has a stunning vista of the Warrumbungles over the town of Coonabarabran. What caught their eye was the Siding Spring Observatory housing one of the largest telescopes in the souther hemisphere. Its high altitude, clear skies, low pollution and low humidity were all plusses in growing high quality wine grapes.
